Jim
Parker and Tom Riddick founded the firm on July 1, 1976. Each
brought years of training and experience to their new company.
Jim Parker graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S.
in Accounting while Tom Riddick hails from Indiana University,
also with a degree in Accounting. Tom found his way to San Diego
with the help of the Marine Corps and eventually went to work
for a big eight accounting firm. Jim, too, was gaining invaluable
experience in the working world as a CPA with a large local accounting
firm and later as controller of a medical service company.
Throughout the years, both partners have been active in many organizations.
These include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants,
the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, the International
Association for Financial Planning, various Chambers of Commerce
as well as many local community activities.
As PARKER & RIDDICK is poised to celebrate its 30th anniversary, we look forward to offering more professional accounting and financial consulting services while maintaining our commitment to quality, personalized service.
